BROOKLYN-BORN • 20+ YEARS IN NYC NIGHTLIFE

ABOUT LADY LIZ BK

Lady Liz BK is a Brooklyn-born DJ, event curator, and community builder of Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage. Growing up in Bushwick, she found her love for music surrounded by live percussion at church. For more than 20 years she has been part of New York City nightlife — first on the dance floor, then behind the bar, and now behind the decks.

On the dance floor, she came up in legendary rooms like Shelter, Vinyl, Cielo, the Roxy, Avalon, and Limelight. Bartending at LOVE on MacDougal Street put her at the heart of the scene, where she built lasting connections with members of NYC's music community.

That path led her into hosting events and then DJing. Behind the decks, she has played JuneShine, Gama Lounge (50 Avenue B), MoonShine, ListenBK, The Office BK, Unruly Collective, The Keep NYC, KEYBAR NYC, and more. Her sets blend House, Techno, Latin House, and soulful grooves built for connection.

Today she is the co-founder of SlaySistas NYC with DJ Courtney K, the founder of Ladies in Frequency, and the co-host of the Lazy Susan party series with Steve Travolta.

LADIES IN FREQUENCY

Ladies in Frequency is a community for women DJs across New York City — a place to play, find each other, and be heard. We meet monthly at Pixelated Records in Ridgewood, Queens, where women DJs sign up, choose an available set time, show up, and play.

This is more than a time slot. It's about finding each other. Free to sign up • Free to play • Free to attend • 21+
